Richard Skudder, Bsc (Hons) Ost Med, D.O Richard qualified from the BSO in 2002. He achieved a 1st degree as well as the accolade of 'The Technique Prize' a prize that is given for the most skilful and effective application of treatment to one person within the University. He has since worked for the NHS and Private clinics in London and within the Southeast, he has also taught Osteopathy at Auckland University in New Zealand. As well as working in private practise Richard tutors part-time at the BSO in London. Richard has helped many patients with a wide variety of problems, ranging from babies to the elderly. He has a specialist interest in treating sports injuries and more complex biomechanical problems. |

Gemma Harding M Ost Gemma qualified from the BSO with a Masters of Osteopathy. Prior to becoming an Osteopath Gemma worked for six years as a personal trainer for Virgin Active in Oxford Circus. Having qualified as an Osteopath she continued to work within the gym environment integrating exercise and Osteopathy with great results before moving to Hove Osteopathic Clinic.
Gemma uses osteopathic manual therapy techniques such as manipulations, articulations, massage and stretching, as well as cranial therapy, to treat a range of musculoskeletal and health problems, and health complaints, with the aim of aiding recovery and preventing further occurrences.She also calls on her previous experiences to enable patients to maintain their own wellbeing and aid rehabilitation; she is able to give advice on diet and exercise in relation to your presenting problems and to achieve specific lifestyle goals.

Jez Kearns, BSc. Hons (Ost). Registered Osteopath
Jez qualified from The College of Osteopaths in 2008 and has worked in Hove, Kemptown and Steyning both privately and with the NHS.
Jez feels that Osteopathy is a collaborative process between the patient and the osteopath and seeks to help the patient to understand the origins and mechanisms of their pain and provide them with the tools to both recover quickly and prevent recurrence of the problem.
Jez is particularly interested in postural and work related injuries as well as headaches. This has led him to undertake postgraduate courses in stretching and ergonomics. |

Olivia Rowley M Ost Olivia graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2009 with Distinction for Clinical Practice and has undertaken further training in Cranial Osteopathy from the Sutherland Cranial College. As a mother she has a particular interest in supporting women during the physical demands of pregnancy and to enable recovery after the birth as well as using cranial techniques in the treatment of babies. Since qualifying she has worked in private practice and the NHS in London, Brighton and Hove treating a wide variety of patients. Olivia uses structural, cranial and visceral techniques including soft tissue massage and manipulation. Her aim is to empower patients by helping them to understand the nature of their pain and by advising appropriate preventative stretches and lifestyle advice. |

Shakira Khan B.Sc. (hons) Pod., D.Pod.M., M.Ch.S., HPC Reg.
Shakira trained at the University of Brighton where she obtained an honours degree in Podiatry. She has since worked within the NHS and as a part-time Clinical Tutor at the UoB, as well as working within private clinics. She has several years’ experience within the private sector and now works solely in private practice.
Her background is in complementary therapies; where she is qualified in many therapies, one of which being Reflexology.
Shakira enjoys treating people of all ages from the very young to the elderly.
Shakira is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

| Julia Clark
Julia is the Director of Haven Therapies, an Holistic Clinic in Seaford, and is a Sports Massage therapist with more than 20 years experience. She studied at the London School of Sports Massage with Mel Cash, qualifying in 1991. In 2006 she qualified in Hot Stone Fusion Massage. Julia has worked with several Osteopaths and Physiotherapists in Brighton, Hove and Seaford, and is experienced in helping people with a wide range of problems, including sciatica, migraine headaches and R.S.I. Julia is a member of the Event Massage team associated with Sussex Sports Massage, providing both pre and post event massage at sports events throughout Sussex. She is a member of, and insured with, the Independent Professional Therapists International. |
